Clean social post line breaks

When enabled, each retained paragraph separator contains U+2800 (Braille Pattern Blank). It looks blank but counts as a character; verify it in the publishing platform.

What is a social post line-break formatter?

Paste a social post draft to normalize line endings from different devices, remove leading, trailing and repeated blank lines, and retain one separator between paragraphs. The formatter keeps a single line break within a paragraph unchanged, so it cleans the draft without rewriting its structure.

Formatting rules and invisible blank characters

CRLF and CR line endings become LF, leading and trailing blank lines are removed, and a run of blank lines becomes one paragraph separator. With the option enabled, that separator line receives U+2800 (Braille Pattern Blank). It looks blank but counts as a character, so always confirm the pasted result in the publishing platform.

Example

A draft with “New stock is here”, three blank lines, and “On sale at 9 PM” becomes one clean paragraph break. With the option enabled, the separator holds one U+2800 character, which you can paste into a target editor and verify before publishing.

How to use

  1. Paste a post draft containing paragraphs, blank lines or mixed line endings.
  2. Optionally add an invisible blank character to each retained paragraph separator.
  3. Format the post, review the result, then copy it or reset to begin again.

Frequently asked questions

Does formatting remove normal line breaks?

No. A single line break inside a paragraph stays as written. Only repeated blank lines collapse to one paragraph separator, and blank lines at the start or end are removed.

What is the invisible blank character?

This tool uses U+2800, Braille Pattern Blank. It appears blank, is not a normal space, and still counts toward a post’s character total.

Will every social platform preserve the invisible character?

No guarantee. Platforms and input methods can remove or rewrite special characters. Paste into the destination editor and check it before publishing.
